Need script, that would be an alternative to "Quick defragmentation" in Defraggler. What it does:
1) defragment only small files (something like < 100 mb);
2) try to defragment only "in place" (i.e. not moving files, and not defragmenating free space)
Is is possible?  Huh

Yes, it's possible. See the "Defragment Only" script for a starting point. Change the line with "all" just after the line with "FileSelect" into this:
Code:
Size(0,100000000)

jeroen, thanks. It works fine, very fast.
I wonder why such a script is not included in list of standard scripts of MyDefrag, because it is extremely useful for disks which are used for downloads like films, ISO-images etc. There is absolutely no need to defragment such a files, because they are usually used just once or stored on disk without using for a long time. Even script "Data Disk Daily" will move this files into another disk area, extremely loading HDD (imagine moving 8 Gb video file on the same partition Shocked).

People expect a defragger to defragment all files and would suspect a bug if it did not. Also, most people want perfect results and don't care so much about running time. I agree that a large file split into a few fragments does not need defragmentation, but it goes to far to say that "there is absolutely no need to defragment such files". A heavily fragmented movie on a slow external harddisk will definitely benefit from defragmentation, for example.

Tip: You might be interested to use the ChunkSize defragment option.

On the one hand, it is true, but on the other hand, people can start thinking, that MyDefrag simply cannot do such a kind of defragmentation (really quick one) and will prefer Defraggler (for example) as "more powerful" defragmetator, though it is untrue. Many people even don't know, that MyDefrag can use external scripts, which can defragment files a lot of various ways.
I really would like to see "Quick defrag" option among standard MyDefrag options (scripts).

It looks like using this option is even better way to realize this script, because big files still can consist of many small fragments. Thanks.

Quick Defragmenter is a fake computer defragmenter and optimization program that hijacks your computer and does not allow you to run any executables. Quick Defragmenter pretends to be a computer error repair and optimization program that scans your hard drives and memory for problems. When installed Quick Defragmenter will be configured to start automatically when you login to Windows. Once started, it will display numerous error messages when you attempt to launch programs or delete files. It will then prompt you to scan your computer with the program, which will state that there are a variety of errors that it cannot fix until you purchase the program. If you attempt to use the so-called defragment tool it will state that it needs to run in Safe Mode and will then show a fake Safe Mode background. As this program is a scam do not be scared into purchasing the program when you see its alerts.
