So I uploaded it to
This new forum supports attachments, when you type a reply click "Additional Options".
I am confused now. Your "jkbug" logfile is for "d:\share", and the "jkwork" logfile is for "d:\share\*". The first mask is invalid and will colour everything red because the filenames on the disk do not match that mask. You know that, you have found the solution yourself, it works beautifully in the second logfile. So what is the problem?
You said before "If I run JkDefrag with no parameters it can not defrag volumes mounted to a directory." Your "jkwork2" logfile shows that you started JkDefrag with only a "-d 6" parameter, and it shows that the mounted disk was processed. It works. So again, what is the problem?

No, the jkwork2.log is created with 'd:\share\*' and '-d 6' see log entry "14:25:33 Starting JkDefrag for 'd:\share\*'".

My 'real' probelm is the following:
If I start JkDefrag with no option (to defrag all drives) it skips all volumes mounted to a directory because it uses 'd:\share' for example. I have to defragment all mounted volumes by hand.

Ah yes, I must have overlooked that.

Could you please upload a logfile from running JkDefrag "with no option"? All the logfiles you have uploaded so far show that you started with options. And they are all normal, they do not show your problem.

As you can see JkDefrag tries to defragment for example D:\source\ (instead of D:\source\*) which does not work. I don't know why because D:\ works fine.

The link is there, but not on the same line. It's an attachment to the posting, see "JkDefrag-3.30b.zip" at the end of the posting.

I don't see any link either. Maybe there is a general thing with links?

I've looked in the settings of the forum - there are many - and have finally found something. Is the attachment visible now? It would be a lot easier if the forum showed me the exact same thing as what it is showing other people. But it doesn't. It's very confusing.

Hi Jeroen,
The attachment is fine now.
I'm sure that you can also find the setting that changes the font of visited links. A little difficult, though, if you don't see the same as the rest of us. Maybe you should check your changes at a downtown net cafe with a separate user account?
Cheers

Sorry for the late answer, but there were some real-life problems.
I tested the version and it works fine, thanks. I was just surprised that the 32-Bit version works under XP x64
.
But I have found a maybe similar problem:
I have my cardreader drives mounted to d:\cardreader\CF etc. And when JkDefrag tries to defrag them with no media inserted a message box pops up. See log:
Code:
16:54:18 JkDefrag v3.30b
16:54:18 Date: 2007/11/29
16:54:18 Commandline argument '-d' accepted, debug = 6
16:54:18 NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate is inactive, using LastAccessTime for SpaceHogs.
16:54:22 Starting JkDefrag for 'D:\cardreader\CF\'
16:54:25 Opening volume '\\?\Volume{4c8170fa-8d3e-11dc-a14c-806e6f6e6963}' at mountpoint 'D:\cardreader\CF'
16:54:25 Cannot defragment volume '\\?\Volume{4c8170fa-8d3e-11dc-a14c-806e6f6e6963}' at mountpoint 'D:\cardreader\CF'

I would drop dead of amazement if JkDefrag managed to defragment a memorycard that is NOT inserted. I'm sure you would, too. So i must be missing something. Could you explain more please? Why do you say there may be a problem?

Sure not even JkDefrag can defragment a not inserted memorycard
. Let me try to clarify my problem:
My 'problem' is that a message box pops up which needs user interaction. The greatest thing (in my opinion) about JkDefrag is that it does all the work
without user interaction
. So it would be nice if JkDefrag could check if a drive is accessible before it tries to access it.
It's more a glitch than a real problem.
