I love MyDefrag, and the older JKDefrag. I am just so curious as to why it's been over a year since an update to the program. Especially since until this version, the development and updates were being done at such a feverish pace! I just figure that Jeroen is busy with life.... yes? Or maybe the current version was finally made near perfect and it is proving to be too difficult to improve upon it! Just curious. Be well! Grin

Maybe it are personal reasons why Jeroen does not have much time to complete the new version. He develops MyDefrag in his free time as a hobby.

At least it doesn't appear the concept of a new release is completely unknown.  This thread reply from Jeroen http://www.mydefrag.com/forum/index.php?topic=5945.msg30638#msg30638  (dated the 16th of June, 2012) states:

"Thank you very much for your contribution, I appreciate it. I have copied your translation and it will be in the next release of MyDefrag."

Certainly it could be a form/standard response, and it is no way, shape or form a promise, but at least the option appears still open.

Although, program can always be updated and improved further I think MyDefrag is near perfect! Smiley He has the knowledge of how to do it. Maybe he is just too busy with his life, but he still responds to suggestions and others. Developing this as a hobby is admirable.

Whether there will be updates or not this is and will be the best disk defragmenter/optimizer available even if it is now two years old.

My thanks, and have faith!

If you lo0ok around the forums, you will see that the program itself hasn't been updated, however most of the community's attention and efforts are revolving around the development of custom scripts, namely the Jaspion Scripts, rather than the stock defrag scripts that come with MyDefrag. Folder and scripts can be found here.  http://www.mydefrag.com/forum/index.php?topic=5843.0

That's right.
But I think it is only a question of time till this website will go offline.
Seems, that Jeroen has no interest left in MyDefrag. Sadly.
