Update screensaver to work in Windows 7 / without UAC off?

Have you by chance learned if MyDefrag screensaver could ever be updated/edited to NOT have dependancy on UAC controls?  I see the following two defrag tools offer a screensaver that operates in Windows Vista/7/2008?  I've tested both and they install and operate without any special setup or configurations.  Any ideas how they are doing it?

O&O uses it's own service to "bypass" the UAC, Auslogics probably does the same.
