Since you've gotten around to changing the analyzing using MFT for v3.17
I have calculated roughly a 50% - 65% decrease in analyzing times than on v3.16   Cheesy

I let it analyze first and exit then I ran it again and timed it from the point i click on the shortcut to the time it exits for both versions on a couple of different disks.  Keep up the good work!  *thumps up*

Thanks for the compliment, I appreciate it! You have timed the total running time? The direct MFT scan has mainly improved "phase 1", the analysis. The rest of the program has not changed, and may in fact run a little longer because the analysis can now find more files to be defragged and optimized.

the only thing that i noticed on our old computer is that some of the new directories that you added to the space hogs were moved, no, i haven't timed the entire process, it seems to vary too much, but i didn't think it took any longer. Smiley
