Hello,

I have downloaded and extracted the portable version 4.3.1 but I think it doesnt work. I started MyDefrag.exe in x32 cause I thought its probably the right one (Vista 32bit) but I only see a disclist and a empty scriptwindow.

So I think the scripts aren recognized. They are there in a directory above x32.

And what about the settings? Do we now have to create a script for every settingset?

This is *not* a portable version. You have to "install" it to use it:
1. Copy the appropriate settings file (if you want to use this) into the MyDefrag directory or the "scripts" directory inside the MyDefrag directory and rename the file to "Settings.MyD".
2. Copy all the scripts you want to use into the MyDefrag directory or the "scripts" directory inside the MyDefrag directory.
Alternatively you can use the command line to specify the scripts you want to execute.

Well, I think I've had problems for some time.  I noticed it on several different computers.
I have about 15-17 scripts.  If I modify a script, the script list comes up blank then next time I open MyDefrag.
So I close, and remove the line or two I changed, and it still opens with a blank script list.
---
I think I realized that it might be due to the script that I modified is located one line beyond the scroll region of the list box (where the scripts appear).
These are all XP machines.
I noticed that if I put on debug (47) that the list would load slowly, then a scrollbar would appear, the list would appear to blank and reload, then draw down some more, then the list would be blank when it finished.
If I turned on various levels of debug and tried to open myDefrag again, I might get a visible script list, I might not.
----
Originally, I was having to delete the script to get a visible script list.  So I thought I was really screwing up the MyD file with the editor... but even placing a clean original file back in the folder wasn't always correcting my problem.
Try it out on a slower machine so you can see the problem with the scrolling and redraw yourself.
Hope this is enough info.

Just resizing the MyDefrag window will solve the problem.
