Looks like the "program hints" crash. Look here for a solution?

No, that didn't work - here is the end of the latest debug file. I'm assuming is I just use the defrag data disk option for C: - I'll be O.K. since that works. P.S. this porblem is on my XP laptop; no issues of my Win7 PC.

This seems to be a different crash. Could you post the lines before that, too?

Sorry, after I posted that I ran mydefrag for a data disk and it overwrote the debug (but ran successfully). I just ran mydefrag for system disk (daily). No pop-up error, it just died after zone 3

07:43:09     Finished FileActions.
07:43:09   Zone 4 of 6
07:43:09   Starting FileSelect for zone 4 (at line 53 column 3).
07:43:09     Cleaning up old data from memory.
07:43:09       Finished cleaning up old data from memory.
07:43:09     The volume has already been analyzed, using existing data.
07:43:09     Starting FileBoolean.
07:43:09     Calculating the maximum end of the gap.
07:43:09       Iteration 1: 8839 unmovable clusters after 14690748, new ZoneBegin = 14681909
07:43:09       Iteration 2: 8839 unmovable clusters after 14681909, new ZoneBegin = 14681909
07:43:09       Maximum end of gap = 14681909
07:43:09     Analyzing the program hints
07:43:09     Ignoring hintfile 'C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch\NTOSBOOT-B00DFAAD.pf' because it is older than 30 days (2010/06/13 13:53:17)

It still looks like the "program hints" crash. "NTOSBOOT-B00DFAAD.pf" shouldn't be older than 30 days if you followed the instructions here.

2nd time seemed to be a charm. I swear I deleted prefetch before, and besides I run CCleaner regularly and assumed that removed .pf files older than 2 weeks.  Anyway, the System defrag ran.  Thanks. Stan
