If I run the "AutomaticDaily" script, or if I put a "WhenFinished(exit)" line in SystemDiskDaily, I get what, to me, is some strange behaviour. It may be how the program is written to work, but to the casual user, it looks a bit wierd.

MyDefrag starts up and appears to loop. The analyze phase runs, and the window disappears. Then analyze runs again, and the window disappears. This happens 8 times altogether. From iteration 3 to 8, "Zone <iteration-2> of 6" is displayed at the top of the window. Each time, the display starts from scratch, analyzes, gets to exactly the same percentage value (in this case 96.3-something), and exits.

Is this the correct behaviour? Why is no defragmentation taking place?

Thanks

Nick

One MyDefrag has process a volume and no changes happen since then, the next run will quickly skip through all zones (since there is nothing to do).

It is not normal that the window disappears completely. Could you make a debug logfile? See I have a problem!

I guess it must have been some kind of disk corruption. After reading some other threads, I did a scandisk and tried again, and now it seems to be running normally. Thanks.

Please make a low level drive check. You should backup everything and replace the drive.

"BloodySword", is your somewhat pornographic signature really necessary?  I think it's rude and borderline obscene.  This is not a sex forum.

I believe such matter should be handled using personal messages, not on forums. But while at it, I don't see anything wrong about that image.
