[SOLVED] MyDefrag (v4.3.1) installation doesnt create scheduled tasks

I've checked the option to install the scheduled tasks during the installation process but I cannot see them on the Windows Task Scheduler.

I already tried to install the program several times but I get the same result (no scheduled tasks).

My OS is Windows XP Pro.

I have recently become aware that some versions of Windows XP do not have the standard Windows "schtasks.exe" program. MyDefrag uses it to create the scheduled tasks. The next MyDefrag release will have a fix for this problem, for the time being I'm afraid you will have to create the tasks yourself.

But I have that file (schtasks.exe). I've found it in the windows\system32 folder.

In that case something else in Windows must be preventing the installer from creating the tasks. Maybe you are running the installer on a userid that has no password, or something like that. I guess you will have to create the tasks by hand, for instructions see How do I schedule a task, to run automatically every day?

Ok. I can confirm that my user ID has no password.
