IMHO MyDefrag should consider gaps, created by AddGap, internally as a "Reserved area".
It means just for its placement decisions and only for addgap zones created at runtime, not for ones from previous script runs.

Why ?
One can easily create out of order zone by MakeGap volumeaction.
Typical useful scenario, present in standard scripts, is given position for zones containing MFT+NTFS $files / folders [/ small files].

But there is little problem with gaps created by AddGap commands within these zones, when position counter is reset by another MakeGap.
Regular zones are filling these gaps, when it comes these zones are about to wrap around previously created zones.

There is workaraund for dividing such a wrapping zone and skipping area by another zone placing MakeGap.
But such a solution is not very convenient. It does not adapt to variable zone sizes and requires excessive gaps.

It can be fast, good or easy. You can pick just 2 of them....
Treating Spacehog zone by the same effort as Boot zone is like cleaning a garden by the same effort as a living room.

Thanks for sharing your idea, I appreciate it. It has been suggested before and is already on my wishlist.

Jeroen, I think time by time it could be more efficient for you and users, if you keep a public wishlist in the feature request sticky thread.

It need not be time consuming even for one time effort. Such a list can be created progressively, as long as people are asking / suggesting. People will be generally linked to a list before asking/requesting, what will save you a time. You could include a link to wishlist to all responses of user requests.

Wishlist could be a simple like this, with eventual reason, if people ask why.

Will be implemented/fixed soon

Will be implemented  one day

Maybe will be implemeted
     .....
Will not be implemented

Thanks for sharing your idea, I appreciate it. But I would feel embarrassed, the list is huge and I would like it to be much shorter. If only I had more time....

Yeah, but there are no trees on Mars, and my cats love to climb trees.
