Hi everyone.

I installed 4.25, and had had a error dialog box come up, right at the end.
Same exact dialog box as in this post below.
http://www.mydefrag.com/forum/index.php?topic=2665.0

The wording or the error:
Unable to excecute file: C:\Windows\system32\schtasks.exe
CreateProcess failed; code 2
cant find file

Thanks for your help.

Al

I'm sorry to hear that, but it is not a MyDefrag bug. If the standard Microsoft "schtasks.exe" utility is not on your computer then that is it, nothing I can do about it. See the How can I run MyDefrag automatically every day? page for instructions on how to make a task by hand.

I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean. The error message that you got when installing MyDefrag meant that the MyDefrag installer could not create a task for you. It does that via the "schtasks.exe" Windows commandline utility. The "schtasks.exe" utility is just a utility, it is not the actual task scheduler. Does that answer your question?
