Hello all,

I sometimes have the problem that when my backup (Acronis TrueImage) reports that it can not read certain files during the backup. The reason seems to be that since a full backup takes quite some time, the MyDefrag screensaver kicks in and seems to lock some of the files that the backup wants to open (most of the time MyDefrag is defragging one of my large mailbox files which takes quite some time).

One possible suggestion would be to add a command that would prevent MyDefrag from running when another process is running. This command would take a process name (executable name) and would check during startup of MyDefrag if such a process is running and would abort if this was the case.

Keep up the great work!
Cheers
Bernd

Thanks for sharing your idea, I appreciate it. It's already on the wishlist. For the moment perhaps you can stop using the screensaver, and add MyDefrag to your daily maintenance job.
