I have just received word from Blue Orb Software that they have released a new version of their free ScanDefrag software. JkDefrag is now available as an option for all Windows versions (previously only Windows 2000). See: http://www.blueorbsoft.com/scandefrag/index.html

ps. it comes with JkDefragCmd.exe that is 132 KB (135,168 bytes), while JkDefrag v3.26 JkDefragCmd.exe is 212 KB (217,088 bytes).

Then it must be JkDefrag v3.7 or v3.8. They used to update regularly, but not for quite a while now, looks like.

I tried ScanDefrag briefly and never found using ScanDefrag to run JKD at startup did any better a job than just running JKD normally.

Yes, I have (like I said above your post), but wasn't impressed there was any advantage in using it.
