Update progress when moving large files

When moving big files (like Videos, iso Images or HDDs of virtual machines) the defragmentation progress stands still until the move is completed. I'd like to see how much of the file is moved.
The update mustn't be continous, but every few seconds would be fine.

Thanks for sharing your idea, I appreciate it. The Windows defragmentation API does not give information back about how far a move has progressed. So it's not possible, I'm sorry to say.

MyDefrag moves files in chunks (defined by FileMoveChunkSize). Maybe you can do something with this? If MyDefrag would move a file with 3GB it would show the progress of the move with 33% and 66% (with 1GB chunk size). If the chunk size is reduced (by the user), this would be more accurate.

See the
FileMoveChunkSize
manual page for an explanation of the big disadvantage in lowering the chunksize.
p.s. If a file is moved in chunks then the percentage in the top-right will be updated between chunks.

Your manual is too big.
But your right. It's already stated in there, I should read more than the first few sentences before I post something.
