Includer 2007.03.17 22:50:44
http://futrades.s12.xrea.com/missingFiles/Includer.zip

A tool to run JkDefragCmd.exe v3.7 very slowly, (by default,
on idle priority with "-s 5") in the background, walking from
drive to drive.

The basic idea behid it is that defragging a large file, say,
300 MB in size, fragmented in just two pieces isn't worth the
time and effort, because scarcely any -- I know none -- program
reads so much of data as 150 MB from a file at a time. In other
words, when it comes to large files, the software throughput
doesn't catch up with the drive throughput, and the reading
does get fragmented even with a file being perfectly contiguous.

Features:

. Can be set to defrag files based on their average fragment sizes.
. Can be set to defrag files based on their sizes.
. Can be set to defrag files based on the number of their fragments
. Uses Sysinternals's Contig.exe when appropriate if it is
  installed in the same directory.
. optionally uses Factory Sakura's runassys.exe if it is
installed in the same directory, so as to run Contig.exe as
  SYSTEM.
. New: shows on a tray tooltip what file is being defragged.
. New: is capable of having changes in the settings reflected while running

Known Issues:

. Doesn't defrag files of which the names contain 2-byte
characters as they aren't shown in JkDefragCmd.exe's analysis
log. (I guess it's higly likely to be due to some Windows
  API limitation)
. Doesn't properly work if there is a shortcut drive letter
created by the command line "subst"

New version of the JkDefragTWGUI (V0.9b):

Now you can run different job-lists via the scheduler.

Changelog V0.9b

new: Commandline parameters:
   /SHUTDOWN    shutdown when done
/EXIT              exit the GUI when done
/MIN                minimize the window at start
/LOAD "*.INI"   load this job-list (full path)
If you start the GUI with any parameter it starts working with the current or the loaded job-list.

new: "Save As ..." to save different job-lists.

In this version you can, JDPower.
It's enought to do somethink like: in 'Advanced' tab, 'Include' box you can set the folders/files that you want to move to the end of disk like "C:\myfolder", "C:\myfile.txt", etc.. And to select "Analyze, defragment, and move to end of disk", of course.

Yes but its a bit of a clumsy way to do it at present. If I understand correctly I have to paste all the file locations into the include box, run '...move to end of disk', then paste all those entries to exclude before running the defrag and optimise function (or else they'll all be moved back again).
Thats no more simple than not using a gui in the first place. To me the obvious solution would be when you select the '...move to end' function in the drop down box it would open an explorer window allowing you to browse to the folders to include, then run the move function and follow it with one of the opimise functions automatically excluding the moved folders.

@JDPower..

indeed you are correct.. but .. this way you would be able to select wildcards.. with the browse for files and folders you won't be able to do that ..

But i understand what you want to do.. you want one run ..

Which :
Selects files which will be moved to the end and afterwards
Defrag and exclude the files which have been moved

This will be a new feature .. i'll add it on my todo list.. it's going to use JKDefragCMD.exe because it will exit after a finish...

Thanks for the reply and yes, thats what I meant. Hope you don't think I was being critical (I wasn't) but I think the gui will appeal most to newbies to JKDefrag and as such I think it would be good to include the most obvious method.

- Log file button isn't translated in the english version
- Help About isn't translated into english
- Unable to see the added task in the taskscheduler
