MyDefrag reports 3 reserved areas:

    • An area of the size of the MFT attached to the first (unmovable) cluster of $MFT
    • The "MFT reserved zone" (MS jargon) which is usually located after the last $MFT cluster and originally sized 12.5% of the volume size. It's size and position is checked and eventually recalculated on every system boot
    • An area of the size of the MFT attached to $MFTMIRR

Of these three areas only the second is actually maintained by NTFS. Could it be that your $bitmap and $logfile are located within area 1 or 3?[/list]
