Works !
No problems at all, no crashes, no disk errors. Boot time seems to have decreased a little, I'll time it with a stop watch when I can.

Kudos to you, this is a great program.

Boot times as follows.

Windows auto defrag - 47 seconds

Microsoft Bootvis - 42 seconds

MyDefrag - 23 seconds

First I ran slow optimize, then quick optimize

Enough said.

Forgot to add all raid arrays are striped @ 16k. After several hours of benchmarking this gave me the best performance in my computer. I don't know if it makes a difference but there it is.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it! And I am extremely happy to hear that booting is twice as fast for you after JkDefrag optimization than with standard Windows optimization. It corroborates my own measurements and I am glad to hear in confirmed.

Thank you.

I thought it strange that my boot time was cut in half. Now I'm happy to see that you get the same results.

Note: I timed it from when the arrays initialized untill I saw network icons on the taskbar.

MyDefrag v4.0b3 tested on windows xp 64 bit and it works.

However...

Boot time is now back up to 45 seconds  Huh

Maybe we missed something ? I ununstalled, went back to v4.0b2 and I'm back at 23 seconds again...

Perhaps you can try v4.0b4? I released only a few hours ago.

Well, this is odd.

I used v4.0b2 to move all file to the end of the drive. Installed v4.0b3 did a slow optimize, followed by a fast optimize. Boot time is back to 23 seconds. Go figure...

Just downloaded v4.0b4, I'll give it a try and let you know Smiley
