When JKDefrag finishes, it just has a black screen.

It'd be nice to show the final results of the defrag, instead of a black screen, with the word "finished".

Not sure if this would be hard.  Seems easy from my perspective, but sometimes things aren't as they seem.

By the way, awesome program.

Thanks for sharing your idea, I appreciate it! I think you are referring to the screensaver version, because the regular Windows version already shows "finished", and the last diskmap. Not a black screen. The first versions of the screensaver did the same, but somebody commented -rightly so- that a screensaver should not leave text on the screen burning into the phosphor. So now you can choose a secondary screensaver in the screensaver configuration, which will be started when the defragger has finished (--does not work for everybody  Sad ). Default is no secondary screensaver, just a black screen.

I think he may be referring to the actual program itself.  Every version of JkDefrag (as well as WinDefrag) has showed a black blank screen for me when the defrag was completed, just like he described (Win2k).  I agree that leaving the disk image when finished would make this great program even better!

Oh, hold on! I see what you mean now. If you run the Windows version for a specific disk then the diskmap remains filled when the program finishes. But when the program is run without parameters then it clears the diskmap area when it finishes. I was confused by "black screen", I thought you meant the entire screen.

I have made a note of it now. It's actually not easy to do, it will take some major changes in the callback routines in the DLL, so I may not get around to it in the next version. Probably later.
