Databases, PSTs, indexes

One set of files you have not considered explicitly is databases, both SQL ones, and things like Outlook PSTs and indexes, which have many random accesses and become bottlenecks. These would be prime candidates to put in the fast disk area, defragged as much as possible.

Thanks for sharing your idea, I appreciate it! Yes, in some cases it can be desirable to have certain files at the beginning of the disk. It is possible to do that now with v3 of JkDefrag, but it is cumbersome and takes a lot of time. In v4 of JkDefrag it will be possible to define as many zones as you want, select the files that go into each zone, and select how each zone is to be optimized.
