I tried to setup a Scheduled task on 12 XP Pro PCs on a Windows 2003 domain environment. I setup the task to run daily and set the credentials to be the domain admin   "domain\administrator". The users on the PCs do not have admin rights, but I'd thought it would use the credentials in the task?

In the logs it says that "access is denied" on the C drive.

I tried running both the command line exe and the regular exe, and both give me the same message.

Am I missing something?

I thoroughly hate Windows security, it's too complicated and never seems to do what I want. All I can tell you is that JkDefrag needs full access to both the disk AND all the files. It is possible that a userid has access to all the files on a disk, but no permissions for the disk itself. Very strange, but that's how it works. I guess in your case the domain administrator does not have access to the disk. Open the properties of the disk and check the permissions.
