If I can say something off the topic, your highliter is very useful for those who like me are trainning and learning to make scripts. I'm trying to make "levels" in the HD: at the 1st, boot files; then a game; then an aplication to crete PCBs (i'm an electronic hobbyist) and goes that way. So when i right-click in a folder, i'd like to see where it is and if the files in the folder are togheter, if the gap i pretend the mydefrag makes really was made, things like that... and your programm do that fine.
Thanks again.

JkDefrag v3 Forum / Questions and help / MyDMenuTools problem

I'm not sure if this is the right place for my question but...
I've installed MyDMenuTools from a flash drive and it worked fine until i've unppluged that drive.
Now i've downloaded the app again, I've put the instalation folder, with the two files "MyDMenuTools.ahk" and "MyDMenuTools.exe" bur when I try to install it from the new download, it ask me if I want to uninstall. And when I accept, the program answer me "ErrorLevel 3" and it says that there's not the FEShlext.dll file in the folder where there's only the two files for instalation.
First I've searched for DLL's name through the registry and deleted the reg entry that had the FEShlext.DLL name and tryed to reinstall. Nothing...
Then I've cleaned the registry with CCleaner and Auslogic reg cleaner, tryied to reinstall and... nothing again.
I can't realize where is the mark that says to the system the MyDMenu is still installed.
Or better than that ('cause I confess I'm not expert with PC programming), how can I install that useful utility again.
Can somebody help me?

MyDefrag v4 Forum / Scripts, and other contributions / Re: Request script for my configuration

Thank you, Peter. Please excuse the delay in responding. I used the default scripts, as you recommended. I downloaded the version 5.0 of the Jaspion, I'm trying to study them but still have some doubts: the file "Zone 3 - Fastest Zone.txt" provides instructions that puts files registry first, in a place where disk access is faster, is it? These files are in the folder "Windows\System32\Config". Well, to use their scripts "Optimize System Disk - Level nn", I would need:
- Change "?" by "C:\" in the archives .MyD e txt - Replace "Windows\System32\Config" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9" in "Zone 3 - Fastest Zone.txt"
Was it, Pedro? And there would be no change for me to do in the archives .MyD and txt?
Sorry to ask but do not have to test if it works or not since I have no way to verify the disk, if a file is right in front of another, after defragmented. At least I do not know to check.
Oh, and finally, after these changes, I would be enough to delete files that are in "C:\Program Files\MyDefrag v4.3.1\Scripts" and copy your now changed, there?
Thanks again, Pedro.

Obrigado, Pedro.

Hi, my name is Renato, I'm 53 yo brazilian curious with computers. I've got two kids (kids?!! they kill me if they read that, rs...) , one is studying cinema and the other, aeronautical sciences. I've just discovered the MyDefrag and as I'm a beginner I'd like someone to help me making a personalized script. My PC is used to: - play Flight Simulator 2004 - edit videos with Adobe Premiere 3 - listen music and watch movies I'd like to get in the begin and outer clusters the files needed to start the system (OS Win7). Must I know what files are these? Then to play FS2004, using Premiere and so the rest of the files (others from Win, Office, players, etc.) As an example, we would let the files in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9 first of all and unmovable (as they are only read), what you think? The files in the subfolders with extension BGL and BMP could be first as this files contains information about the scenery, wich is in constant charging, changing in the RAM. I guess I talked so much but to finish, my PC configuration is: Motherboard: ASRock N68 VS3-UCC Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 645 RAM: 4GB, DDR3 Video board: NVIDIA GEForce 210 1GB HD: WD 500GB SATA Thanks. P.S.: I don't have a very-good-English. Pls excuse for that and let me know if I got misanderstood. My natural language is portuguese from Brazil and if it can help someone, pls let me know too.
