1  MyDefrag v4 Forum / Bugs and problems / Re: MyDegraf crashing on certain files on: November 24, 2011, 08:01:39 pm
Was wondering when the next release is happening? Or a fix for this? Really preferred using MyDefrag but can't because of this error...

Thank you for taking a look, let me know if I can do anything to help, or if it's just my lousy computer and I'll kick it a time or two as punishment   Grin

Hi,

I have a problem with my defrag (4.3.1) in Windows 7. It keeps crashing with this error during the Analyze stage:

 Problem Event Name:   APPCRASH
  Application Name:   MyDefrag.exe
  Application Version:   4.3.1.0
  Application Timestamp:   4bf62b1d
  Fault Module Name:   StackHash_7387
  Fault Module Version:   6.1.7600.16695
  Fault Module Timestamp:   4cc7b325
  Exception Code:   c0000374

  Additional Information 3:   b709
  Additional Information 4:   b7091f977e0af8f58126b6462f0f4aa3

After running the debug log (495), I find these entries as the last entries:

23:10:23     Starting to analyze folder: F:\Temp\phone backup\com.usatoday.android.news
23:10:23     Getting fragment list for: F:\Temp\phone backup\com.usatoday.android.news\cache

Huh That is it, no more entries after that. When I navigate to the last file that it looked at in the debug log, it is always a 0kb file, and if I delete it MyDefrag goes a little farther next time, then crashes again on another file. I can go an delete that file and it will go further next time. But obviously this will take centuries for me to defrag.

I have ran chkdsk to no avail (no problems found) and the drive is an exFAT drive, and it is always a 0kb file that it crashes on. Any ideas?

-Matt

PS: ran a Debug (1) and this is all I got:
